AFI AKOS

Afi Akos is an African-inspired, London-based fashion brand that is passionate about bringing its customers the finest handmade clothes, bags, accessories and homeware from Ghana. When we came across the brand we loved that they work with selected designers, artists and crafters across the continent to create amazing products for their customers using responsibly sourced materials and saw great potential for growth.

02. The Approach

CREATIVE - STRATEGY - SOCIAL CONTENT

Afi Akos launch new exclusive pieces to their range every month and initially, they did not have a strategy on how to do this in a way that would help them attract sales.

Our first step was to fully identify and understand their target audience and then put together a content strategy that we would use as a compass to ensure the brand's social media output was in line with its business goals. This was an important piece to the puzzle as this strategy was going to be used for next 12 months and included the tone and the personality of the brand.

Our strategy to grow the brand involved a combination of both photo and video content, effective messaging, paid advertising and collaborations.

03. The Results

  • Increased their Instagram followers by over 50% 

  • Produced and distributed over 100+ pieces of video content across Instagram Reels & TikTok

  • Organically reached 60,000+ potential customers
